We needed a more contemporary means of reviewing the performance of the Board and CEO. Previous processes didn’t enable us to understand the true leadership and cultural dimensions of our collective and individual performance, leaving us feeling ‘half full’. The Integral Review Framework was unique and exciting, measuring our impact against a number of qualitative and quantitative indicators. Tanya placed a mirror in front of us, challenged us, and provided insightful observations without imposing her personal views. As a result, Director relationships have been enhanced, reporting is clearer, our advocacy agenda is stronger, succession planning is working, and we have a clear path for an exciting developmental journey ahead.

I have known Tanya or close to 15 years from my roles as a public health academic, President of Kidsafe SA and Director of a Local Health Network Board. Tanya has a broad understanding of the complexities of health and health services, and brings strong abilities to think strategically and maintain an eye for the detail of change management. The Network engaged Tanya and LeadersHP to develop our inaugural Strategic Plan for the new Local Health Network. I really liked how Tanya spoke to us all one-on-one before the initial workshop. Everyone stated they felt engaged and able to voice what was important to us. The whole process was very inclusive, respectful and satisfying, and the Network are really happy with the end result. It is a strategic plan we can be proud of, and more importantly, implement and monitor.

I was facing the most complex, challenging role of my career, requiring so much thought, care and energy. I was questioning my management skills, constantly thinking about work and I wasn’t sleeping well. It was a lonely time. I sought Tanya’s help to walk alongside me with fresh and wise eyes. The coaching framework clearly defined the scope of our relationship, created boundaries and highlighted what was in focus. Each session was so useful. The remote team I was responsible for leading were not working effectively together. There was lack of trust, little respect, poor performance and low levels of personal responsibility. We needed to find a way to agree on acceptable behaviours and to hold each other accountable for raising the bar. Tanya listened deeply, asked good questions, and generated a shared understanding of the complex situation at hand. She built our knowledge of human behaviour, team dynamics and practical ways to build trust and team effectiveness. As a result, we made some practical changes to the way we work that have shifted the team from very low levels of productivity and poor wellbeing, to much more positive and collaborative work. We are well on our way to a high performing team.

We were embarking on a large scale, complex organisational structure and cultural change project, and we needed help. I felt like I was spinning multiple plates at once and not even touching the surface of what needed to be done. We engaged Tanya as a Strategic Advisor to guide us through the process, to mentor and support me, and to co-facilitate some workshops.
